Rare and Vanishing

Carol Westcott BA MPA CSPWC OSA SCA

A contemporary landscape painter, my work is inspired by the natural environment.
My landscape images are formed from memories, fragments of experience and the influence of my early life. Growing up in rural Ontario gave me an appreciation for the land and its vagaries so, from a very young age, I was inspired by the landscape that I now present in my images. Working in watercolour, acrylic and mixed media, I interpret the landscape, often in slightly abstracted form.

My background includes studies at the Ontario College of Art (now OCADU), the Haliburton School of The Arts Open Studio and workshops with mentors and artists whose work inspires me.
